• Issue with Animal Feces

We are getting increasing reports of animal feces left on the grounds. Please know that this is not just a nuisance, but can prevent work from being done.

In the handbook, it clearly states that any animal feces must be picked up immediately. If animal feces is found outside your unit, you may receive a fine. Please make sure to pick up after your animals.

Today, on September 15th, six piles of dog poop had to be picked up so that the grass could be cut. Please do your part to keep Village Square a pleasant place to live!

  • Compactor and Bulk Trash Rules

Recently, we have noticed people putting items in the compactor that don’t belong. Below is a recent picture of a table stuck in the compactor.

Please note that to fix the compactor when items get stuck, it cost us around $1500.

To prevent things from getting stuck, please refer to the notice below for what can and cannot go in the compactor.

As of November 7th, 2025: Bulk Trash is PERMANENTLY CLOSED!

Please disregard any previous notices about bulk trash pickup dates. We will not be accepting bulk trash at all. Cameras monitor the activity near the office. Anyone seen placing bulk trash there WILL BE FINED. Please find another way to dispose of bulk items.

If you have any questions, please visit the office or call us at 586-739-7570.

  • Issues With Toilets and Drains

As some of you may be aware, there have been many issues with drains and toilets getting backed up. Please continue to call the office at 586-739-7570 and get work orders made for any issues you are having.

However, there has also been a trend of finding things in clogged drains that cannot be flushed or sent down the sink/tub drains. See a picture of an example below. To prevent this, please read the attached letter. In it is a list of things NOT to be flushed down the toilet. This also includes not sending them down sink/tub drains. Please note that improper use of toilets and drains may result in fees.
