Emergency Calls
EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE
If a member has a maintenance emergency that occurs after working hours or on weekends, call the afterhours
emergency phone line (586) 292-1052. Emergency maintenance calls are taken by an answering service. When calling,
leave the number where you can be contacted by the Village Square Maintenance “On-Call” staff person.
Examples of Emergency Maintenance Issues:
a) No heat (if temperature is below 60 degrees)
b) No water
c) Flooding from basement floor drains, or water supply main lines or supply lines.
d) If water is coming from the basement window well, check drain to determine if it is plugged-up with
debris. Remove debris. Water coming from window well is not an emergency.
e) Broken water supply pipes/lines. This does not include sink drainpipes that have shut off valves.
f) Major building damage
g) Gas leaks
h) Carbon monoxide (if you own a carbon monoxide detector and it goes off, contact Consumers Energy). If
there is no actual carbon monoxide problem, the member will be charged by Consumers Energy. If there
is a carbon monoxide problem, Village Square will pay the Consumers Energy service charge.OFFICE: (586) 739 – 7570 EMERGENCY: (586) 788-7452
i) Police and Fire emergencies — Call 911 — and then contact emergency maintenance.
j) If you have an electrical power failure, check to see if circuit breaker has tripped. Reset a tripped circuit
breaker.
Examples of NON-Emergency Maintenance Issues:
k) Toilet problems in One Bedroom units ONLY. Two- and three-bedroom units with at least
one functioning toilet does not constitute an emergency.
l) Leaking hot water tank overnight. (Lack of hot water is an inconvenience, but not an emergency) It is an
emergency over a weekend and holidays.
m) Lock outs (there is a $40.00 charge for this service after business hours)

Summer Rules
Our Summer Rules are in effect. Please put your garbage on the sidewalk not on the grass. If you have any questions please call the office.

Game Room
Effective Friday April 4th, 2025 the games/puzzles/books and card rooms will be open for VCS members from 8:30am to 4:00pm. the door will be open on side of the building by the mail slot.

Activities Committee Details
Spring celebration;
*April 12th from 1:00pm until 12:30pm. Check in begins at 12:30pm. Easter Egg Hunt starts at 1:00pm.
There will be 3 age groups= 0/3–4/7–8/16
Scavenger hunt for adults with 2 $25 gift cards for the winners.
Appearance of Easter Bunny with photos.
Cup Cake walk.
If you would like to make a donation for this event, we need items to fill the eggs.
Suggestions; candy/stickers/temporary tattoos/erasers/whistles/charms/pencil toppers/slap bracelets/friendship bracelets/mini flash lights/mini rubber balls/small toy cars.
Volunteers are need it on April 3rd at 5:30pm to fill the eggs. Donations of cupcakes on day of the event. You can bring them or drop them off to one of volunteer in the kitchen area in the community room.
Movie Night;
*May 9th, doors open at 8:30pm for check in.
Movie showing is- Night at the Museum.
Free popcorn/sweet treats (donations welcome). BYOB -no glass containers please.
Surprise treat bags for kids and adults
Volunteers needed for set-up/popcorn machine/snack area and clean up.
Jimmy John’s Field Outing
*July 25th, 2025.
Tickets are $38 dollars a person. Pay at the office. Last day for tickets sales is July 1st, keep in mind no tickets will be sold after July 1st.
Ticket price includes;
-Reserve seating in the picnic area
-All American BBQ picnic buffet, group photo on field, welcome greeting on score board, meet and greet with the mascots, kids run bases and fireworks after the game. Free parking, it is suggested car pool with neighbors. Gates will open at 6:00pm.
Food Trucks
*June 19th/July 17th/August 21st- 3rd Thursday of the month. Picnic tables will be set up on the patio and under the tree. Members are responsible to purchase food items.
Yard Sale (collaborating with Carriage House)
*June 12th/13th/14th
Tables to be set up behind our clubhouse they will be available on a first come basis. Members are responsible for their tables and property. If you live in a court we encourage you to set up along the main road (Kensington) on the common areas.
